Previously in Chinese we went on a field trip to a place where they took orphaned chinese children and gave them homes. They showed us a powerpoint on history and facts about china. Also, they had us do traditional chinese paper cutting, and different kinds of chinese dancing with the JLO of China. We then ate lunch, which consisted of egg rolls, rice, and some dumplings that we made. After the orphanage place, we went to the biggest asian market in Colorado. Not only did it have great prices but some things that we cannot find anywhere else like Pocky, a japanese candy. I definately intend to go up there with my mommy and beg. This was not only the best field trip of the year in my mind, but the most inlightening.
